Program Update

The ITSCC Academic Mentorship Program (IAMP) has made many exciting strides since launching in 2023. The inaugural cohort (Drs. Lauren Crow, Kelsey Hirotsu, and Basia Michalski-McNeely and mentors Drs. Nathalie Zeitouni, Bryan Carroll, and Manisha Loss) completed their first full year and in March 2024 we welcomed our second cohort into the program (Drs. Ami Green and Annika Weinhammer and mentors Drs. Melissa Pugliano-Mauro and Sean Christensen). Mentors and mentees have engaging quarterly meetings discussing topics such as database utilization, research pearls, and working with industry from leaders in the field. The discussions during these meetings are vibrant and is an opportunity to relate to one another’s experiences. Mentees also attend the in-person during the ITSCC biennial retreat for more education and networking.
